This sand tray for sand tray therapy was an interesting one to do. I started it on the fourth of July weekend and went through until Wednesday. When I was visiting my father I had a whole day of relaxation where I laid in the pool on a float in the sunshine under the trees and my dog kept hopping in and swimming with me. It was very nice. The next few days I mostly studied so I chose the picture of the tray that was a little me sitting on a molding of a couch with a bunch of papers in front of me. It was finals week so that was the main thing that I did during the week. I did each tray to represent the days that I was going through. My other trays that weren't photographer were of me at work with my kids, we were doing different exercises in the sand. Lastly I did kind of a random hodge podge of happy things because finals are now over. I chose butterflies and leaves for nature and candy pieces, a heart and a star, a cake and a cupcake, a unicorn a bird, and a big flower and a teddy bear. The candy pieces are sweet and have happy faces on them, I put them in because they make me smile and can represent treats for after finals. The cake and the cupcake could mean the same things, comfort food and bright happy colors. I put a heart and a star in front of the little Cinderella figurine because they are uplifting images that representing dreaming and love. I put a big butterfly and the little butterfly in the box to represent cheerfulness the ability to be a carefree for a little bit. The flower and the leaves represent nature where I feel the most calm, so I can get back to relaxing temporarily. And then lastly the teddy bear for comfort and security.
