Sand Tray Therapy - Anger Management Tray By: Marie
My anger management tray was interesting. I knew as soon as it was assigned I was going to struggle a bit with the assignment. When I was a little girl I had problems with anger and completely getting out of control. Then as I grew older I only "blew up" sometimes and now I've learned how to express my anger in much more appropriate ways. However, it can still be a struggle at times. So this was a struggle to put my anger out in a picture form but after looking at it for a while it completely makes sense to me. So my anger is like this huge gorgeous tiger that can be ferocious and beautiful all at the same time. Its loud when it wants to be known but can sneak up on someone if not careful. My anger also is like the little soldiers, they are strategically placed and aim their weapons directly at certain people and things. This is strategy and its my anger management skills-- you can't aim just at anything and everything, bullets should be targeted. Then of course are the armored truck, tank, helicopter, rhinocerous and dinosaur. These are fierce and defensive because if you are going to be angry and shoot bullets then you may need to be prepared to have anger and other people's bullets or even possible bombs to come back (not everyone has anger management skills). Which then explains the helicopter and bald eagle even better because I don't like confrontation so I may want to fly away. There are times that my anger looks really ugly and I don't use my skills very well and it may look like this creapy alien who just isn't any type of nice or this commando green guy. However,if you look closely there is a police officer kind of gaurding them but also almost holding them back but really to keep them in check.
