With my play therapy activity / play therapy technique of the miniature world I made my own private island. I have my house and a place to store our food I have trees in the back to protect us from anything. In front of my house is the ocean and in it I have my husband and my self our three children, our dog, and my mom and dad. I know if I were trapped on an island I could make it as long as I had all of that.
I liked this because I can see how it would help a child in play therapy to actually build different “worlds” to live in. I can see how it might help them to open up and share valuable information with their play therapist.
