Sand Tray Therapy Class Assignment: House, Tree, Water, Sun, Animal Sand Tray Student #4
In my House, Tree, Water, Sun, Animal Sand Tray, sand tray therapy assignment you can see a very interesting tray playing out below.
My house is represented by a box that has a lot of color and openings to it. There is a door, 4 walls, an open roof. The house is a good size, allowing for space inside of it. The walls are fairly thin to the house. There is a door. I would like to visit this house, it seems very open and inviting. I think the house for me represents stability with who I am.
I am a very confidant and composed individual. i like to have a good time, but i also know when things need to be more serious. The house appears to be centered, and I feel as though that reflects my own grounding of my values and well rounded-ness.
My tree is represented by a palm tree. The tree appears to be healthy and full of leaves. The tree is fairly close to the house, which gives off a sense of happiness and healthiness. For me, a palm tree represents relaxation and happiness. I feel as though the house that I have built for myself metaphorically allows for a stress-free environment.
The water in this tray runs in front of my scene of my house. My water is a calm moving stream that is freshwater. For me this represents life. I believe that in order to live a happy life, it needs to be a life full of substance and meaning. Without such things in life, there is not a point.
The sun in this picture sits to the left of the tree. This sun is very bright and relaxed. This sun seems to be content with how things are. It is said that the sun represents my father, but I have an interesting relationship with my father. We are exactly the opposite in my opinion. I am outgoing, he is not. I try to involve myself with activities and be social, and he is very introverted.
The animal in this picture is represented by a frog. A frog is said to symbolize opportunity for some. I believe I am looking for opportunity in life, which is why I go out of my way to take part in experience I deem worthwhile. Things like going to graduate school and running in a marathon are evident of the opportunities I seek out in life to give myself meaning.
Finally, there is a guy dressed as a prisoner in my tray heading for the water. To me, this sand tray therapy assignment symbolizes not wanting to be like my family, who seems to always be unhappy with the situations they get themselves into. I want to be a successful, happy, and healthy person as I continue to live my life. There are times where I feel like I am stifled by there stress. I don't want to be defined by the craziness they live with, so I try to distance myself from them when I can.
